Viskopol, the company, was founded in 1993. Since its opening, the company has acted as a distributor for Visko casings in Poland. At the end of the 90s, the shirring and printing machine moved to Poland. Since then, there has been an increase in sales in casings from Visko and later ViskoTeepak in Poland. In 2015, Viskopol won the best partner award during the ViskoTeepak Partner Days in Antwerp, Belgium.

In 2018, the two companies began testing their shirring capabilities together due to the increase in the number of machines at Viskopol and the needs of ViskoTeepak in the field of converting casings. At this time, Viskopol was an external converter of ViskoTeepak products.

In 2019, during the world’s leading trade fair in the meat processing sector - the IFFA fair in Frankfurt, many talks between Viskopol and ViskoTeepak took place. Mid-2020, the ever-changing situation in the casing market in Poland and the desire to strengthen the field of casing conversation led to the purchase of Viskopol shares by ViskoTeepak.

Despite the difficult conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, step-by-step Viskopol became part of the ViskoTeepak group. Currently, the company operates in Poland under the name ViskoTeepak Poznań and is a full member of the ViskoTeepak family.

Poznan

Andrzej Jędrzejewski
Andrzej is the most experienced employee in Poznań. He started his work at Viskopol in the year 2000, when there were only two operators at the production hall – including himself as a shirring operator and printing machine operator.

From the beginning, he took part in implementing new machines and technologies, such as sewing, tying, and activating the new shirring machines in Poznan. Andrzej enjoys the construction of the different machines used. He is not afraid of failure, which resulted in him building an automatic machine for cutting casings for sewing. This accomplishment is something he should be proud of and is.

Continued progression

"In September, I will have worked for this company for 22 years. I have never seen such huge transformations in such a brief time. Everything is going in the right direction. Changes are not easy, but they are for sure necessary for a company to continue to grow.”
