Hendrik & a passion for sport-fishing
Besides work, I have a passion for sport-fishing. I fish carp, or bream and roach. I often do this together with my colleague and childhood friend Ko Kuiper. Fishing is a commonality between us. We also went to the same school and participated in the same football club. Fishing and football have always been our passions, and we have been able to do these activities together for many years.
Hendrik’s journey
If your childhood friend also becomes your colleague later in life, that is something quite remarkable. I am now 55 years old and hope to work at this beautiful company with all these great colleagues for many more years. Despite the past ups and downs of ViskoTeepak, we are still a company looking forward and always looking for improvements. That is one of our strong suits at ViskoTeepak Delfzijl. Besides improving ViskoTeepak I hope to continue to experience many more fishing adventures together with my good friend Ko Kuiper.
Ko’s journey
I started here in the printing house as a plate mounter (mounting the printing plates for the printing press). Later I became an operator, operating the printing press. After my period as a temporary worker, I got a permanent position in 1991. I have worked at this beautiful company with great colleagues for more than 30 years and plan on being here for many more. When I am not working, my hobbies include football (my favorite club is FC Groningen) and competition fishing. I often do this together with my colleague Hendrik de Vries. Hendrik and I have been friends since childhood, and now we are colleagues, so our friendship is even more special. Once a year Hendrik and I go away for a few days with two others. This year we are heading to Denmark. Here we will go fishing on a big lake and stay in a beautiful cottage right by the lake. We are looking forward to this and can’t wait for many more fishing adventures.
Appreciated work culture
As you can see, we have both been working at this company for a long time, and that is because we like the work culture. It is extremely easy to talk with team leaders and Management. If any issues arise at home or within ViskoTeepak they will always listen and help when possible.
A message to all
We wish our colleagues all around the world the absolute best. We hope to see you sometime during one of our fishing adventures.
